Omega Chrono-Quartz 1976 'The Albatross' SOLD!!

Sale Price:£0.00 Original Price:£2,400.00

The Chrono-Quartz was the first watch to have both LCD and analogue on the same screen. It was the official timing watch for the Montreal Olympics of 1976 and also the following FIFA World Cup in 1978.

The watch was nicknamed ‘The Albatross’ because of the size- it’s a very big piece! The watch has two LCD timers on the left and analogue watch on the right. The shape of the piece lets a shirt cuff cover up the timers and leave the analogue for day to day use.

Steel case with full size heavy steel bracelet, all links nice and tight (I had the bracelet rebuilt), signed Omega on the clasp, all in superb order, one of the best I’ve had for sale in fact. Perfect crystal and all functions performing as they should. The watch was serviced around 3 months ago.

Perfect inner Omega box in red with the original swing tag and an original set of the instructions, a very rare piece to get with this watch as most were lost when the watch was used. This is the first set of original instructions I’ve seen for this watch.

Size 50x35x15mm deep.
