The 70s-watches NIXIE CLOCK Model No.4

Yep, they're back, the fourth edition of our very popular Nixie Clocks- and we only have 15 for sale!! Let's go back in time......Nixie tube displays predate LED and LCD displays and have a real "space age" look about them. These were the "digital" display tubes that you used to see when watching the Apollo missions in the 60's. In fact some of these tubes were originally NASA ones from Cape Kennedy, dated 1969! Inside a glass tube, ten filaments are shaped to form the digits 0 - 9 which when lit give off a warm orange / violet glow that can be read from quite a distance.

Nixie No.4 is the same as No.3 but this time finished in heavy black perspex instaed of the clear stuff we used on the last one.

These clocks can work in 12hr or 24hr mode. The nixie's are NEW OLD STOCK. The designer has a clock with the same tubes that has been running continuously for over 12 years showing no signs of ageing. Accuracy is within a second or two per week controlled internally by a quartz crystal. For safety, the clock is powered by a low voltage plug in "wall wart" power supply. Taking orders for these now!!
